Ecosystem

Reefs make a very positive impact on the ecosystem as they provide a diverse habitat for many species and supportmarine biodiversity.

The premise of the artificial reef is simple: micro-organisms first colonize the area where the lobsters then come to feed, shelter and reproduce.

Benefits

BENEFITS OF CONCRETE :

  • Rough surface making it easier for algae to attach to reefs

  • Resistant to sulfates (such as the salt in saltwater)

  • Long service life

  • Does not rust or deteriorate

  • Heavy, preventing sliding

  • Low carbon footprint

  •

Home’ster’s eco-friendly artificial reef is made with salt-resistant concrete. When hardened, this concrete turns into an inert substance!

WHY Home'Ster

Do you have a concept?

We at Home’ster firmly believe that we must take the time to understand what really matters to fishermen.

It is essential that we provide people with a window in which they can share, communicate, and most importantly convey ideas that can make significant impacts with greater ease.  We propose that individual and group meetings be held in order to collect this important information.

Listening to fishermen and understanding what they have to say is our motto, because they are a wellspring of great ideas!

This vision is an integral part of the ethical standards we promote.
